Understanding the Fight Against Human Trafficking in the 115th Congress

The McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University, Prime Policy Group and the National Association of Counties (NACo), held the ninth installment of the McCain Institute’s Human Trafficking Conversation Series.

In the past decade, the anti-trafficking movement has increasingly gained support from the policy community. The McCain Institute, Prime Policy Group and NACo brought together Members of Congress and county officials to discuss this horrific crime in our country. A panel of U.S. policymakers discussed successful national and local strategies that have helped combat trafficking as they map the road forward. This dialogue contributed to the efforts of the McCain Institute and their partners to #EndTrafficking.

Featured speakers include: Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN); Commissioner Jim McDonough, Ramsey County, Minnesota; Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, Palm Beach County, Florida; and, Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO, 2nd District). Moderated by Martina Vandenberg, President of the Human Trafficking Pro Bono Legal Center
